A collection of songs by womxn who I think are making just damn good music right now. I’ve spent all of my life in awe of the work of other girls, so the April playlist is dedicated to them.Continue reading
in a song: A March Playlist
The start of March is feeling clean and fresh and maybe that’s because it’s 50 degrees and sunny outside right now and I’m sitting here with my window open but I think we are about to zoop right into spring. And, so, I have a playlist for you.Continue reading
12 songs for 2019
At the end of each year, I create a 12 song playlist as a musical scrapbook. One song for each month – the song that was my perpetual jam, that I couldn’t stop singing in the shower, that seems to capture my vibe. I know each of these songs backwards & forwards. Each has a little memory tied to them (in 2019, I listened to Roam in Rome so many times I lost count, we kicked off my 250th soulcycle ride with Take Me To The Pilot up on the podium, THE JONAS BROTHERS REUNITED, and Higher Love was just the entire summer of 2019 in a nutshell).Continue reading
monday morning: a playlist
I’m an intense person (it’s part of my charm [I hope]). I take everything pretty seriously. I work hard and try hard and my stakes always feel so high.Continue reading
apple picking tunes
I’m back, book worms, with a brand new playlist that will have you throwing on a flannel and racing to the nearest pumpkin patch (you’re welcome).Continue reading
May Playlist(s): breaking up & falling in
It’s been so long since I’ve been in this space. But that is all about to change. I’m back. So, let’s talk about what I’ve got for you today. Spoiler alert: not one, but two playlists.Continue reading
April Playlist: spring in my step
IT IS SPRING. SPRING IS HERE. NYC may not have made up its mind yet (as I’m writing this, it is 40, raining, and the grayest of gray skies) but I have. And it is spring in my mind. This week I painted each of my nails a different color to celebrate just that. It’s the most festive I’ve ever felt. And I’m a pretty festive human.Continue reading
March Playlist: Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop
It’s a feeling we all know: that one song that you just can’t get out of your head and you don’t mind at all. You know there’s more music out there that you love, more albums to discover, more variety to be had. But every time you get control of the aux, you can’t help but play this one song over (and over and over) again. Here’s to the songs that are those songs for us, right now, in this moment. The bops, the story songs, the catchy ones we kind of hate. May you be happily haunted until that next jam catches your ear (and your heart).Continue reading
A Playlist: Love Songs
It’s a love story, baby, just say yes.
I’ve always loved love songs. Even when I’ve been single as a pringle (like right now), I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for them. Maybe it’s that part of me that’s a bit of a romantic. Or the part of me that just loves a good story song. Who knows, but I’ll be singing along, in a relationship or not.Continue reading
Frosty Feels: The February Playlist
It’s February. It’s bitterly cold. Summer feels so far away, it might as well not exist. Winter has come and it is going to be here for a while, so let’s embrace it. Curl up by your fireplace (whether it’s on Netflix or the real deal), grab a huge blanket, make yourself a cup of hot cocoa, and pick up a great book. Turn these tunes up and tuck in for the night. Sleep, work, eat, repeat.
Thank you so, so much for your suggestions! Curating these collaborative playlists has become the most fun part of my month.
