This city’s for the (book) girls 💕 itinerary for a perfect 36 hours in New York: Happy #internationalmuseumday 💕 I’ve been in love with the magic of museums since I was a small kid, taking at home art history classes taught by my grandmother & reading From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs Basil E Frankweiler for the 85th time. Choosing a museum as the setting for THE ART OF VANISHING was no accident, but it’s meant I’ve got to spend the last two and a half years living in an imaginary version of these places I love. Visiting museums has become a significant portion of my personality (as shown by the five thousand photos that popped up when I searched “museum” in my camera roll). As I’m almost done with my final draft, I’m getting a little misty about spending less time in this world but that just means you’ll get to visit it next 🥹 and HOW COOL would it be if we could just lean a little closer and fall right in?? April books & looks!! It’s a lot of looks because so much of my reading this month was on audio. Not pictured: two manuscripts I read for work whose covers are not yet revealed! Highlights: my absolute obsession with HOW TO END A LOVE STORY, my marathon listens of JUST FOR THE SUMMER and FUNNY STORY (both of which I listened to in 24 hours), & the gorgeous HERE AFTER. Haven’t finished MEMORY PIECE yet so will report back in May!!! What was the best thing you read in April?
